Wish that I was on ol' ROCKY TOP
Down in the Tennessee hills
Ain't no smoggy smoke on ROCKY TOP
Ain't no telephone bills.
Once I had a girl on ROCKY TOP
Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink, but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about that.
(Chorus)
ROCKY TOP, you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ol' ROCKY TOP--(woooo!)
ROCKY TOP Tennessee, ROCKY TOP Tennessee.
You will find Tennessee Women's Basketball fans in any city in the United States. It's like Cubs fans or Raiders fans or Atlanta Braves fans. They're everywhere, because if you turn on the tv to watch women's basketball, you will either see Tennessee playing someone or you will see UConn playing someone.
This past week and the weekend before, Dayton hosted the regional for WBB and Tennessee happened to be in that part of the bracket. It was basically a sea of orange other than the parents and super-fans from Ole Miss, Marist and Oklahoma.
It was incredible, actually, to see Tennessee play in person. Their pace is fast, they're very talented and you get to see Pat Summitt get mad, which is soooo fun. I finally got to meet one of Beth's good friends, Nathan, saw Jeff again and saw Rachel (a former Indiana State wbb player) as well.
Here are some pictures from the game, and when Tennessee got to cut down the nets after they beat Ole Miss in the Elite Eight game.

Cheerleaders and that weird dog mascot they have. Is that what a Volunteer is???
